In the first quarter of 2005, tesa tape Australia needed to align their management software package with their Asia/Pacific operations, especially Singapore who had been using their system successfully over the last 5 years.
“Our Singapore office was using Microsoft Business Solutions – Navision as a very cost effective means of integrating financial and distribution data as a complete and customisable business management solution," explains Dennis Pike, Managing Director, tesa tape Australia. “The Australian office was operating with a much larger system, however, we recognised there was an opportunity to establish a cost saving whilst further enhancing business process efficiencies.
We were also the office responsible for managing the solutions used in both Australia and New Zealand and recognised the advantages of consistency and implementation of the same system. It was at this point we were introduced to an alliance partner of the Moore Stephens International Network, who were involved with our Singapore office.
We were impressed with Moore Stephens Technology Australia (MSTA) as they demonstrated a huge amount of expertise and understanding. Their product knowledge was excellent which was absolutely critical for us to ensure the changeover went smoothly. Our first impression of the process was that it was going to be easy as we were already using Navision in the Asia Pacific. However, our need to culturally adapt and fine tune the package to the way we operate and control the nuances of our business process in Australia and New Zealand became apparent.

Our teams worked symbiotically together to develop the best approach that meant a very smooth transition process. I had personally been involved with the implemetation of the previous system and by comparison our implementation of the new business solution was totally seamless. Both teams are to be commended for their preparation and thorough approach. The technology has become transparent and is evidenced in the fluency of our day to day operations.
